STEAM WORLD
When arriving in the Steam World between Gramado and Cinnamon, you will be faced with a dramatic collision, a reassembly of the tragic railway accident that occurred in 1895 in the capital of France - Paris. A locomotive in high speed and ungoverned, crossed the station of Monte Parnaso, station of trains. The locomotive crossed the wall, and was trapped at a height of 12 meters, without touching the ground.
The Steam World of Gramado and Canela emerged in the 1950s, by the Urbani family. Omar's eldest son, worked with his father in the mechanic's shop, and in his spare time, set up his first miniatures with the leftovers of the materials.
Some of the Attractions
Inspired by steam engines, the Urbani family will build perfect replicas of locomotives weighing more than 10 tons. In addition to the locomotives, Omar and his brother Benito made other replicas: Pottery, Quarry, Thermoelectric Plant, Hydropower Plant, Paper Mill, Mate Mill.
Strolling between the replicas of miniatures of the steam world, other machines are exposed in scenarios rich in details, steam sawmill, steam tractor, steam roller, ironworks, animal power, human strength, stone mill, wind power plant.
Among the attractions, are exhibited in Steam World, antique dial telephone, singer sewing machine, with wooden base and pedal, steam clock that announces full hours, accessories and vintage clothing parts.
Children will have fun at the 1925 Pacific locomotive, the Sorocabana railway. This replica was manufactured by Mr. Edmar Mamini in the Steam World. It took 3 years to build.
